At the end of April  Spyre’s Director, Andrew Malouf, joined the panel at The Urban Developer's Residential Development Summit.

The session covered great discussion exploring Brisbane’s residential supercycle and how Spyre has found its footing in the current landscape.

The Urban Developer

26 April, 2025

Luxury south-east Queensland residential developer Spyre Group is looking to get more sand between its toes on the Gold Coast.

It has lodged plans for a high-end beachfront proposal at Tugun, along the booming but laidback coastal strip near the city’s airport precinct.

The boutique midrise scheme comprising nine apartments is earmarked for a 760sq m site at 2 Dune Street and would replace a two-level 1970s-built block of flats. Read the full article HERE

HAMPTON LTD

Construction of Hampton Ltd has made strong headway across multiple areas on site over the last month.  In Building A, the basement slab has been partially completed, and Dincel walls have been erected for the lift shaft, fire pump room, basement lobby, storage room, and bin storage. Columns have also started going up across Buildings A and C, showing clear vertical progress.

Meanwhile, in Building B (Townhomes), the basement slab has been partially poured, and lift pits have been successfully formed and poured. Dincel walls have been installed for the garages and lift shafts. Across the site, the walls for the fire water tanks have been completed, and Dincel materials have arrived for the internal basement walls. To prepare for the next stage of development, formwork has now commenced for the Ground Floor slabs of both Buildings A and B.

MORAY HOUSE

Great progress at Moray House has continued throughout the month, with several key milestones achieved across the site.

The scaffold has now been completed up to Level 5, and the suspended slab on Level 4 has been successfully poured. Vertical elements to Level 4 and the underside of Level 5 have also been completed, while formwork for Level 5 is now underway.

On the lower levels, underslung services are progressing well on Level 1. Meanwhile, on Level 2, waterproofing to slab rebates has commenced, and glazing is now underway. Off-site, both the feature screening and joinery are currently in production.

ARC RESIDENCES

Onsite at Arc, the birdcage scaffold, which supports the Upper Mezzanine formwork, has now been completed. With that in place, the team has also finished the formwork and reinforcing steel for the Upper Mezzanine and successfully poured the slab. Work is ongoing with the concrete beam steel and formwork for this level, as momentum continues on-site.
