The Founders' Story
Prestige real estate in Australia has undergone a complete transformation, with the evolution of how one defines luxury at the forefront. Recognising that a prestige level of excellence transcends price tag, but instead embodies value, opportunity and legacy, at Spyre we work to redefine residential development, to create spaces that inspire.
Leading this bold vision are Founder and Managing Director Daniel Laruccia and Director Andrew Malouf, whose vision has driven $850 million portfolio of prestigious developments spanning from Burleigh Heads to Melbourne's Bayside suburb of Hampton. Their ability to identify rare, high-demand pockets of land has set a new benchmark for aspirational apartment living in Australia.
A FOUNDATION BUILT ON PASSION
Daniel's deep passion for property has driven the development of over 500 residences. From the onset, he envisioned Spyre as a trailblazer, "consistently raising the bar and breaking the boundaries of convention."
Determined to go against the grain, Daniel has focused on creating homes that not only inspire but also redefine the living experience. With expertise spanning project procurement, business development and financial strategy, he seamlessly blends quality with innovation. His commitment to transforming the South East Queensland property scene is evident in the team of visionary designers and industry leaders he has brought together under the Spyre banner.
A VISIONARY LEADER IN PRESTIGE DEVELOPMENT
Andrew Malouf brings the brand's vision and mission to life in every development. With a background as a senior town planner, Andrew's meticulous attention to detail has been instrumental in shaping Spyre's reputation for excellence. He applies his expertise to deliver prestige projects that surpass expectations and embody Spyre's hallmark of quality.
Daniel and Andrew have cultivated a team of exceptional craftsmen and industry leaders. Together, they have successfully completed six developments, with four more currently under construction, and further announcements on the horizon. Central to Spyre's approach is the careful selection of unrepeatable, strategically located sites coupled with house-sized, multi-residential living - a philosophy first exemplified in the SOKO Sky Homes.
MILESTONES THAT DEFINE A LEGACY
SOKO was a formative milestone in Spyre's journey, the first true evolution in Spyre development offering a bold and unprecedented vision for apartment living. SOKO demonstrated Spyre's ability to deliver prestige properties that redefined market expectations, igniting a passion for continuous innovation and excellence that remains at the core of the company today.
Building on this foundation, Spyre has achieved remarkable milestones. In Brisbane's highly sought-after New Farm district, Moray House stands as a six residence, seven storey masterpiece. With an unparalleled location offering private riverwalk access and extraordinary views, Moray House has set new benchmarks for innovation with its sky garage feature and a record-breaking two-storey penthouse sale of $15.75 million in January 2023.
The momentum continued along Queensland's coastline, where Glasshouse redefined the all too commonly claimed 'beachfront luxury' - to offer a form of aspirational living completely unprecedented in the South East Queensland market. In March 2022, Spyre achieved Queensland's highest off-the-plan penthouse sale at $20 million, only to surpass itself with a record $24 million sale amalgamating the two remaining apartments in 2023.
Here at Spyre we like to think our developments are so much more than just buildings, but rather, stories that are brought to life through exceptional design and craftsmanship. Our commitment to uniqueness, enrichment, and rarity elevates each development beyond necessity, creating spaces imbued with meaning and purpose.
This philosophy is the legacy of Spyre's founders Daniel and Andrew - building a vision of liveable art that transforms the lives of its residents.
