James Walsh for Moray House

 

A true artisan process of metamorphism, James Walsh creates one-off pieces machined down from natural materials and finds salvation in the vast amounts of unused waste material developed by quarrying practices today.

 

 

A Melbourne based industrial designer, James’ work has a prevalent theme throughout, not only by the materials that demonstrate a cultural significance but by merging both traditional and somewhat primitive manufacturing techniques to create works of art with an anthropic sense of purpose.
